SA2025 JANUARY 2026 UPDATE

Where is your helmet? Unfortunately, once again, the arrival of the new, five year homologated Snell helmets has become very fragmented. We wish we could offer greater clarity, but we are not receiving any. Many promises have been broken. We know there were containers logistics issues, plus getting products through customs (tariffs/documentation) added to the delay and in some instances the lack of helmets’ parts have caused the delay. The list is long, varied - and frustrating.

Initially, in November 2025, many Brands supplied their carbon series helmets first. We know they needed to get the pro drivers and teams ready for the season — the racing starts almost immediately and the sanctioning series offer no leniency on dates. However, not all.

Brands, including Stilo & Zamp, had stocking but they quickly sold out. Their second stocking is now beginning to arrive.

Brands, especially Bell & OMP, for some reason, have had serious delays (calculated or not.) This has especially affected the supply of their new composite models and their entry-level series — such as the ever popular M8 (now called the M8 Sport.)

The M8 Sport are now not expected until March 2026

If the manufacturer is not filling our orders, we at Track First are working hard to source and fulfill your orders from other vendors. This has not been too successful since the helmets are simply not Stateside.

For customers with approaching track and/or racing events, we at Track First are doing our best to offer an equivalent alternative.

The good news, many track HPDE group organizations and the non-pro racing groups recognize the problem and are issuing later SA2025 compliance date mandates. For example, PCA is June 2026. NASA is up to 2027. We understand CHIN is not.

Consequently, before you go to your track event, check your groups latest rules - best contact them directly.

YOUR HELMET ORDERS have not disappeared. They will be processed as soon as they arrived, and shipped out chronologically.
