The youth model’s smaller size is correct for younger drivers or very slim frames. The collar has shown in crash testing to be effective at supporting young necks and reducing whiplash injuries. The collar features an anatomically designed 360 degree, dual density foamed collar - sporting firmer foam where the device meets the base of the helmet. An extended rear helps reduce the weight of the helmet on the driver’s back - young, more immature frames do not have the equivalent strength of their older peers. A adjustable Velcro closure adds to the safety of the device with a secure and close fitment.
